Christian Biography of Ron Klapal

Ron L. Klapal, the son of Alfred and Lawrene (Volf) Klapal , was born on March 31, 1953 in Ord, Nebraska. He passed away on May 12, 2014 at the Cancer Treatment Center at Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 61.
He was a beloved husband; father, brother, uncle and friend. Ron graduated from Superior High School in Superior, Nebraska with the class of 1971. He was united in marriage to Theresa Brungardt on February 12, 1998 in Wichita, Kansas.
Ron was a Superintendent of operations with Jayhawk Pipeline. He was an animal lover, especially his dogs. He enjoyed preparing meals on his smoker, loved to fish and was an avid Husker football fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Klapal; step-father George Shaw; grandparents Luis and Rosie Volf.
He is survived by his wife Theresa of McPherson, Kansas; daughter Jennifer Spencer and husband Cheyenne of Owasso, Oklahoma and their son Connor Ruch; daughter Megan Shaimes and husband Scott of Vinita, Oklahoma; and son Tanner DeVore of McPherson, Kansas; mother, Lawrene Shaw of Superior, Nebraska; sister Connie White of Lincoln, Nebraska; nephew Joseph Canfield and wife Anita of Ft. Worth, Texas and family; other relatives and a host of friends.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 10:30 AM from the St Joseph Catholic Church in Superior, Nebraska with Rev. Brad Zitek officiating. Lector was Erica Harris, Acolyte was Richard Sullivan, and Altar Servers were Adin Leibel and Trenton Morris.

Rosary service was Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 6:30 PM at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home.

Music was "All Are Welcome," "Blest Are They," "Ave Maria," and "Be Not Afraid," with Carlita Price as the organist and Martin Cram as soloist.

Visitation was held on Thursday from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM with family present to greet friends from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.

Pallbearers were David Hess, Tom Johnson, Jim Barton, Daryl Banister, Dale Petersen and Stan Meyer. Honorary Pallbearers were Cheyenne Spencer, Scott Shaimes, and Tanner DeVore.

Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.
