Christian Biography of Rose Irene Fintel
Rose Irene Fintel, the daughter of John and Alvira (Stinson) Rogers, was born on June 11, 1933 in Superior, Nebraska. She passed away on November 12, 2018 at the Superior Good Samaritan Society at Superior, Nebraska at the age of 85 years, 5 months, 1 day.
Rose had eight siblings. She attended country grade school and graduated from Superior High School. She married Donald Fintel on January 9, 1952. Three children were born to this union. They later divorced. Rose was a homemaker raising her family and drove a school bus for many years for Superior Public Schools. She attended Dr. Welbes Midwest College of Massage Therapy and started Rose Fintel Therapeutic Massage out of her home. Rose retired and later in 2012, she entered the Superior Good Samaritan Society where she resided until her passing.
Rose was a 67-year member of Centennial Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) and the Red Hats Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Ila Wilton, Dixie Klawitter, and Dorothy Maxine Rogers and brothers Vern, Bud, Don, Val and Bill Rogers.
Survivors include her children Dixie (Craig) Grisham of Superior, Nebraska; Lori Weevil of Welcome, North Carolina; Lee (Ann) Fintel of Lincoln, Nebraska; and Paula (Brad) Sholtz of Abilene, Kansas; 7 grandchildren Jaramie Grisham, Dawn Sutherlin, Erin Richwine, Samantha Sholtz, Taylor Youngblood, Nicole Fintel and Justin Fintel; 8 great grandchildren Dylan, Meg, Caleb, Lane, Landon, Lily, John Carter and Christopher; sisters-in-law Florence Rogers of Rupert, Idaho and Beverly Rogers of Superior, Nebraska; nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.
