Christian Biography of Roy Rempe

Roy William Rempe, the son of Leonard and Lorraine (Brockman) Rempe, was born on October 24, 1952 in Superior, Nebraska. He passed away on March 2, 2023 at the CHI Health Immanuel at Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 70 years, 4 months, 6 days.

As a child Roy attended the Valley Home Country School, graduated from Superior High School and attended Western Nebraska Technical College at Sidney, Nebraska where he received his aircraft mechanics licenses and also obtained his private pilot's license, a continuation of the training he began in high school. He was a lifelong member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Superior.

Roy was employed by the Trans-Nebraska Airlines at Alliance, Nebraska until the company closed its doors. He then worked in Casper, Wyoming as an aviation mechanic and it is there that he received his commercial pilots license. He worked as a charter pilot for a short time but realized that wasn't for him and began a job doing pipeline patrol. Being the youngest pilot on the company's largest route he gained a lot of experience in a very short amount of time covering the Pacific Northwest and central states from Oregon and Washington to Illinois, Oklahoma and Texas and all the states in-between. He eventually got into crop dusting in Texas and returned to Nebraska working for the Farmers Aerial Spraying out of Cadams, Nebraska and the Grove family and eventually he started Roy's Aerial Spraying later purchasing his own land to build an airstrip.

On September 25, 1993 he was united in marriage to Patricia "Trish" Alexander at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lyons, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Lorraine Rempe, a brother Eugene and his parents-in-law, Wallace and Margaret Alexander.

He is survived by his wife Patricia "Trish" of Superior, brothers, Ron (Arlene) and Jim (Melody) of Superior and a sister, Jan (Ron) Williams of Hastings, Nebraska. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-laws, Jean (Ron) Burbridge, Peg Alexander, Cathi (Vince) Miner, Mary Lou (Phil) Noonan, Camilla (Albert) Dyke, Bill Alexander and John (Lucy) Alexander along with a host of many nieces, nephews and many friends.

Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 10:30 am from the St Joseph Catholic Church in Superior, Nebraska with Rev. Ferdinand Boehme officiating.

Music was congregational hymns "Lead Me Lord", "Be Not Afraid", I Am The Bread Of Life" and "On Eagles Wings" with Carolyn Mazour as organist. Song leaders were Kayla Jacobitz, Lauren Spexarth, Peg Alexander and Jean Burbridge. Euolgy was given by Ryan Williams. Lector was Matt Rempe, Acolyte was Jerry Miller and servers were Nolan Meyer and Abram Carter.

Visitation was held on Monday March 6, 2023 from 4:00 until Rosary Services at 7:00 pm at the church.

Honorary pallbearers were Roy's Godchildren, Jamie Williams, Ty Rempe and Lucy Alexander.

Inurnment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.

Memorials are suggested to go to the Brodstone Healthcare Foundation.
