Christian Biography of Sandra Eggers

Sandra J Eggers, the daughter of Ralph and Iona (Siebenneicher) Presnell, was born on January 25, 1944 in Deshler, Nebraska. She passed away on September 23, 2026 at the Thayer County Health Services at Hebron, Nebraska at the age of 82 years, 7 months, 29 days.

Sandra also known as Sam or Sammie was a Deshler High School graduate, with the class of 1962. She married Roger Eggers on June 11, 1961 at the Presbyterian Church in Belleville, Kansas; moving to Milford while Roger finished school then moved to North Platte in 1964. In 1967 they moved to McCook and in 1978 to North Platte and in 1990 to Lemoyne on the north side of Lake McConaughy, then to their forever home in 2010 to Ruskin, Nebraska.

Throughout her lifetime and travels she managed the Student Union in McCook Jr College where she also taught bridge. She was a cook and banquet supervisor/bartender at the Ramada Inn in North Platte, and then worked as the secretary & office manager for White Mussleman Hearing Aids, until she retired.

Sammie enjoyed crocheting and crafting, especially building custom and made to order bird houses. She enjoyed birds and bird watching, especially watching cardinals. Sammie was a “hands-on” Mom, sewing various dresses and costumes for her children. She was very creative, and enjoyed working with her hands.

In retirement, Sammie and Roger traveled to Parker, Arizona, in the winters, to an RV park, that they helped to manage, with Sammie in charge of the activities and meals. Sammie and Roger also enjoyed travelling the country on their Harley, logging over 125,000 miles across the US.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Iona; their son Kord Eggers on July 29, 1983; her sister Bonnie Anderson and her husband Merlin.

Survivors include her husband Roger of Ruskin; daughter Camy (Paul) Bradley of McCook, Nebraska, and her son Derek (Janene) Eggers of Wolcottville, Indiana; four grandchildren Ryan Bradley (Melanie), Kip Bradley (Juliana), Tanner Eggers (Myranda) and Chantel Eggers; and seven great grandchildren, Kyeen, Kreed, Harper, Huxon, Millie, Zarah, and Elowyn; other relatives and a host of friends.
