Christian Biography of Sandy L. Jorgensen
Saundra Lynn Jorgensen, the daughter of Leo and Evelyn (Holtzen) Grueber, was born on February 10, 1946 in Superior, Nebraska. She passed away on April 24, 2025 at the South Lake Village in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 79 years, 2 months, 14 days.
Sandy attended country school and graduated from Nelson High School in Nelson, Nebraska. She continued her education at Southeast Community College receiving her Bachelors of Nursing Degree. Sandy was a member of the Abiding Work Lutheran Church in Deshler, Nebraska. She lived in Republic, Kansas, Nelson, Lincoln, Curtis, North Platte and Byron, Nebraska. Some of her favorite hobbies included tending to her huge vegetable and flower garden, fishing, watching movies, reading her bible and cooking. She loved to play games and cards, sewed in her spare time and most importantly spending time with her family and friends.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Evelyn, brother Randy, sister in law Cathy Grueber, sister Connie Miller, brother in law Golda Eldridge and her son Steven Jorgensen.
She is survived by her children, Mark and Lanis Jorgensen of Deweese, Lori and Mike Mortensen of Wahoo, Nebraska and Matthew and Trisha Jorgensen of North Platte, Nebraska. A daughter in law, Debi and Mark Shriner, eight grandchildren, Jayden (Mikhala), Justin, Elsa (Bryce), Jace, Jack, William, Ellyana, Brelynn and two great grandchildren, Haven and Elias. She is also survived by her brother Terry Grueber of Salina and her sisters Lila Griffith of Byron, Nebraska and Nancy Eldridge of Waco, Texas along with a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
Services held at: Abiding Word Lutheran Church, Deshler, Nebraska

Burial: Washington Cemetery, near Republic, Kansas
