Christian Biography of Scott McKee

Gordon Scott McKee, the son of Gordon and Lucille (Crook) McKee, was born on July 17, 1952 in Superior, Nebraska. He passed away on February 25, 2026 at his home at the age of 73 years.

Scott was a 1971 Superior High School graduate. He was united in marriage to Arliene Nelson in 1975, this union was blessed with a daughter and son. They later divorced and Scott married Kim Ferguson in 1991 in Milwaukee.

At age 13 Scott started driving a semi, which started his career as a livestock order buyer. He bought 2,000-2,500 head, six days a week all over the country and Mexico.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge serving as a Past President, Lions Club, Elks Lodge holding offices, Superior Volunteer Fire Department serving from 1990 - 2000 and the Jaycees.

Throughout his lifetime, Scott operated McKee's recycling and helped at many auctions. While in high school he was student manager for the SHS Basketball team.

He was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Lucille, his wife Kim McKee and his sister Linda Diehl.

Survivors include his children Jami (Jon) Bruning and Craten McKee all of Superior; his significant other Gail Anne Aurand; two grandsons Tristan Sholty and Austinn Elledge and a great grandchild; other relatives and a host of friends.
