SFC Junior F. Papa Glasson, 86, died Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Candler Hospital.

The Nelson, Nebraska native was retired as Sergeant First Class US Army. He was the Class of 1946 Nebraska State Boxing Champion and was a huge college football fan, especially his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers. He also retired as custodian for the Nelson School System. The willful and spirited man loved to go and loved to help others. Survivors include his daughter, Linda Bodiford (Steve); granddaughter, Wendy Saxon (Greg); grandson, Joseph Bodiford (Michelle); 4 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 5 step-children, Peggy Lipker, Janie Corman (Scott), Cheryl Yarber, Carol Andreasen (Rick), and Dixie Carr and fiance Jon Siene; and numerous step grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 1:00 pm from the Nelson Cemetery in Nelson, Nebraska with Rev. Dr. Stephen Berry officiating.

Interment with Full Military Honors was in the Nelson Cemetery at Nelson, Nebraska.
