Christian Biography of Shon Disney

Shon Derek Disney, the son of John and Lyndall (Trautman) Disney, was born on October 25, 1982 in Belleville, Kansas. He passed away on September 17, 2015 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital at Superior, Nebraska as the result of a car accident at the age of 32 years, 10 months, 23 days.

Shon attended grade school in Schuyler, Nebraska, Mendive Middle School in Reno, Nevada and graduated from Wooster High School in Reno. He was baptized in 1999 in Reno at the 1st Church of the Nazarene by Pastor Paul Slaton. Shon worked in the maintenance department at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior and currently was working for Zito Communications of York, Nebraska as an installation technician.

Shon enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, especially with a bow and fishing. He was known by his family and many as a compassionate, giving and very brilliant young man. He loved to see people happy and feel good. He always put others before himself and would drop everything to help someone in need. His whole life was his son, Davin. Shon spent much of his time talking to people about God and always had a way to lead them to the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lyndall, grandparents, Marlin (Bud) and Verdina Trautman, Benjamin and Mary Disney and Don L. Shepherd.

He is survived by his son Davin Benjamin Disney of Reno, Nevada; father and step-mother, John and Deanna Disney of Superior, Nebraska; step-grandmother, Carole E. Shepherd of Superior, Nebraska; brother Shannon Disney and wife Kendra of Guthrie, Oklahoma; sister, Crystal Sporing and husband Chad of Superior, Nebraska; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 10:00 am from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Deanna Disney officiating.

Recorded songs were "No Longer A Slave," "When I Get Where I Am Going," "Save A Place For Me," "Amazing Grace – My Chains Are Gone," "Heaven Was Needing A Hero" and "I Can Only Imagine."

Pallbearers were Shannon Disney, Chad Sporing, Todd Sporing, Mark Carpenter, Trevis Trautman and Trent Trautman. Honorary Pallbearers were Dale Tyler, Davin Disney, Michael McGowan and Chrystina McGowan.

Interment was in the Hardy Cemetery at Hardy, Nebraska.
