Stephen W.Crookshanks son of Leonard and Cleo Scroggin was born on March 29th 1954 in Chillicothe Missouri. He passed away on December 10th 2014 at the Good Samaritan Society in Superior Nebraska at the age of 60 years after a battle with cancer.

Steve was raised on farm in Oak Ne where he attended grade school in Oak and later graduated from Nelson high school in 1972. Following graduation Steve returned to Oak where he continued the family farm.

Steve was an avid hunter and fisherman with a love for the great outdoors. He was known for his sense of humor and contagious laugh. Steve enjoyed many years playing on the Oak Legion softball team. In his free time he enjoyed attending auctions and adding to his many collections. Steve was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Steve is preceeded in death by his parents Leonard and Cleo Scroggin.

He is survived by his daughters Stesha Schneider and husband Zach of Lincoln Ne and Stevie Crookshanks of Oak Ne, sister Cindy McNair of Denver Co, and granddaughters Emery and Maclin Schneider.

A memorial luncheon is planned for December 20th at 12:00pm at the Oak school house. A celebration of his life is to follow at Steve's shop.
