Christian Biography of Steve J. Aksamit

Stephen John Aksamit was born Oct 4, 1945 to Bill and Rose (Kucera) Aksamit.  He grew up on the family farm 3 miles south of Deweese, NE.  He attended Pleasant Hill Elementary School and graduated from Nelson High School.  After graduation he attended a trade school for auto-body repair.  He served in the army from 12-14-65 to 12-1-67.  He lived in Hastings, Ne for some time but spent the majority of his adult life serving as the operator of the family farm.

Steve was true to his schooling and liked his vehicles and equipment to be in good condition.  He enjoyed dealing with his cattle and was very fond of the farm cats.

He was a great fan of Gunsmoke and the many other westerns he watched as a child.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bill and Ron Aksamit, and sister Becky Aksamit.  He is survived by his sister Ginny (Aksamit) Haddix and several nieces and nephews.
