Christian Biography of Susan Ann Stenson

Susan Ann Stenson, the daughter of Louis and Elsie (Dobelstein) Matz, was born on September 15, 1949 in Paterson, N.J. She passed away at her home near Hardy, Nebraska on June 15, 2016 at the age of 66 years.

Sue was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hardy, Nebraska. She was baptized on October 28, 1949 at Ridgewood, NJ by Pastor F. A. Ottmann and was confirmed on June 6, 1962 also in Ridgewood. She attended Concordia College at Seward, Nebraska and earned a Bachelor's degree.

Susan was a loving and caring person and will be missed by all who knew her.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Elsie.

She is survived by her husband Norman of rural Hardy, Nebraska, daughters, Stephanie Olson and husband Mark of Lawrence, Kansas, Rachel Maxwell and husband Matt of Imperial, Nebraska and Linsay VanMeter and husband Wade of Concordia, Kansas and one son Samuel Meyers and wife Carie of Mankato, Kansas. 11 grandchildren and one sister Elsie Eisold of Palatine, Illinois.

Memorial services were held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 10:00 am from the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hardy, Nebraska with Pastor Matt Maxwell officiating.

Music was congregational hymns, "Amazing Grace", "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Softly and Tenderly" with Ernestine Hoyer as organist.
