Christian Biography of Terri Core

Theresa Core, the daughter of Manuel and Mary (Santos) Cabral, was born on August 9, 1931 in Swansea, Massachusetts. She passed away on April 17, 2019 at the Jewell County Hospital at Mankato, Kansas at the age of 87 years, 8 months, 8 days.

Terri attended Parting Way School in Acushnet, Massachusetts. She lived in Massachusetts for 18 years, then moving to California she met Robert Core. They were married on January 22, 1962 at Anaheim, California, this union was blessed with 4 children. They moved to Omaha in the early 60's and in 1974 Superior became their home.

She was employed for many years as a waitress for Harvest Inn, Pat & Vern's and Dave's Place all in Superior.

She was a member of the Cancer Club for Saint Jude's.

Terri was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bob on May 5, 2002; her daughters Tracey Core, Lisa Adams and Lori Castonguay, one son, Raymond Castonguay, one grandson, Bradley Cusatis and five brothers Harry, Michael, Dennis, Johnny and Manuel Cabral.

Survivors include her children Diana Stenson of Irmo, South Carolina; Stacey Maughan and husband Curtis of Hastings, Nebraska; Robert Core, Jr., and wife Tiffany of Seward, Nebraska; Dennis Castonguay of California; and Susan Castillo and husband Dan of Las Vegas, Nevada; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; her sister Mary Howard of California; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 10:30 am from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Jon Albrecht officiating.

Music was recordings of "Go Rest High On That Mountain," "Bridge Over Troubled Water," and solo "Amazing Grace," by Stephanie Thayer with Carlita Price as her accompanist and "Dancing In The Sky" was played at the graveside.

Visitation was held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with the family present from 6-8 to greet friends.

Pallbearers were Carson Care, Kiley Maughan, Tanner Stenson, Levi Cusatis, River Krajnik and Nate McMains. Honorary Pallbearers were Hannah Core, Mercadi Deckert, Michael Davis, Tessa McMains, Adriana Cusatis, Dakota Cusatis, Tabatha Boucher and Terri's 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.
