Christian Biography of Thomas Wilhelms
Thomas Martin Wilhelms, the son of Leonard and Donna (Larkins) Wilhelms, was born on August 20, 1959 in Superior, Nebraska. He passed away on July 10, 2016 at his residence in Hastings, Nebraska at the age of 56 years.
Thom attended school in Superior, graduating from Superior High School with the Class of 1977. During his high school years, Thom was a cast member in the Jr. Class Play, and he also was a member of the football team. He was always known for cracking a joke and making people smile and laugh.
He lived in the communities of Superior, Clay Center and Hastings. While living in Clay Center he was a member of the Fire Department and was as an EMT for several years. He enjoyed playing pool, watching college football and reading. His granddaughters were the love of his life, and spoke frequently of them.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Randall and Robert "Bobby"; grandson Emery Wilhelms and nephews, Matt Gray and Shane Rogers.
He is survived by his children Dr. Thomas Wilhelms and wife Diying, Larry Wilhelms and wife Chelsey, and Adrienne Hamilton and husband John; 6 granddaughters: Vivian and Kaitlyn Wilhelms, Nevaeh Wilhelms, Jaialynn Lueking and Brynlee Wilhelms, and Sierra Hamilton; brothers and sisters, James Gray of Hastings, Nebraska, Judy Mohler and husband Denny of Lincoln, Nebraska, Patricia Duncan and husband Scott of Hastings, Nebraska, Cinda Rogers and husband Steven of Buhler, Kansas and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of many, many friends.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Mark Diehl officiating.
Recorded music of "Blues Man," "Tears In Heaven," and the Florida State Fight song.
Honorary Pallbearers were his granddaughters Vivian Wilhelms, Kaitlyn Wilhelms, Nevaeh Wilhelms, Jaialynn Lueking, Brynlee Wilhelms and Sierra Hamilton.
Inurnment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.
