Courtesy notice for the Cool family

Twila D. Cool, age 84 of Superior, Neb., died Tuesday, June 24, 2025 in Superior. She was born on October 16, 1940 to Clare and Zelda (Broyles) Schuster in Superior. On January 12, 1971 she was united in marriage to William Cool in York, Neb.

Twila was a cook and a 'farm gal'. She loved working outdoors, gardening and watching the clouds. She loved her family deeply.

She is survived by her children, Carla (Stan) Green of York, Jerry (Michelle) Cool of York, and Tonya Cool (significant other, Jasyn Garman) of Superior; stepchildren, Butch (Deb) Cool of McCool Junction, Neb., Glen (Angie) Cool of Hampton, Neb., Rona (Doug) Chaney of McCool Junction; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Jean) Schuster of Superior; sister, Linda Brahmsteadt of York, Neb.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; stepdaughter, Patty; and two brothers, Richard and Robert.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, June 30, 2025 at Metz Chapel in York.

Interment will follow at York's Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m., Sunday, with family greeting friends from 4 to 6 p.m. that afternoon, all at Metz Mortuary in York.

Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
