Christian Biography of Verna Jane Lewis

Verna Jane Lewis, the daughter of Don and Ann Shuck, was born on April 4, 1942 in Red Cloud, Nebraska. She passed away on September 26, 2021 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital at Superior, Nebraska at the age of 79 years, 5 months, 22 days.

Jane started school in Red Cloud and finished in Superior. She was united in marriage to Max Lewis on June 22, 1958 at the Burr Oak Christian Church and this union was blessed with a son Allen. Jane enjoyed visiting with friends at her sons store. She was a housewife and helped her husband Max on the farm.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Max, brothers Eldon and Richard.

She is survived by her son Allen and wife Rose of Burr Oak, Kansas, two step-grandsons, Christopher and Scotty; Sisters, Rosella Campbell of Burr Oak, Kansas, Linda Hendrick of Pampa, Texas, brothers, Rick Shuck of Amarillo, Texas and Geno Shuck of Pampa, Texas along with other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside services were held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 2:00 pm from the Highland Cemetery, North Branch, Kansas with Jeff Ord officiating.

Visitation was held on September 30, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Interment was in the Highland Cemetery, North Branch, Kansas.
