Virginia Lee Nondorf, the daughter of George and Clara (Gutscher) Newell, was born on December 17, 1943, in Hardy, Nebraska.  She passed away on October 13, 2021, at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 77 years, 9 months, 26 days.

Virginia graduated from Hardy High School.  She married Larry Nondorf on January 25, 1963, at Nelson, Nebraska.  This union was blessed with three children.

Virginia enjoyed many hobbies, particularly a life-long interest in quilting, sewing, and crafts.  She was an avid doll collector and enjoyed making her own doll creations.  She gifted family and many friends with beautifully designed quilts, and spent many hours doing needlework, embroidery, and other projects.  She also enjoyed her dogs Molly and Joey.

In her later years, Virginia and Larry enjoyed camping at Lovewell Lake.  As grandkids grew, she and Larry supported them in their sporting activities in school and attended many of their games.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, George and Clara Newell; brother Ivan Newell, and sister Velma Walker.  Survivors include her husband Larry, of Superior; daughters Bonnie Johal of Shawnee, Kansas, and Connie (Brook) Thelander of Eagle, Idaho; son Scott (Jaletta) Nondorf of Superior.  Surviving grandchildren include Emily and Davis Thelander, Austin, Catera (fiancé Jacob Dietrich), and Matraca Nondorf, and other relatives and a host of friends.
