Christian Biography of Bud Rowley

Walter Wesley "Bud" Rowley, the son of Walter George and Linda Ann (Fuller) Rowley, was born on June 28, 1967 in Superior, Nebraska. He passed away on April 8, 2026 at his home in Syracuse, Nebraska at the age of 58 years, 9 months, 11 days.

Bud was baptized on February 24, 1970 by Rev. J Poe at the Hardy Union Church. And was a 5-year member of the United Church of Christ in Syracuse. He was a Belleville High in School graduate. He was united in marriage to Roberta Sole Dilley on July 26, 1986 in Superior and to this union he became a father to Tim and Kati. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator.

Bud was the CEO of Grandpa Association and he enjoyed fishing, boating, driving his Kobata and just helping anyone in need. He had a heart of gold and shared it where he could.

He was preceded in death by his father Walter "Tiny" Rowley.

Survivors include his mother Linda of Hardy; his wife Roberta of Syracuse; his step children Tim (Cecelia) Dilley of Syracuse and Kati (Ron) Beatty of Buckeye, Arizona, honorary children Kent (Kelsey) Otto of Galva, Kansas; siblings: Lee Ann (Brent) Mumm, Donnie (Roxie) Rowley, Jim (Mary) Roberts, Donna (Gary) Middleton and Tim (Melissa) Roberts; eight grandchildren: Moriah (Nick) Lorenzen, Shantel Cady, Corbin (Alex) Cady, Lelend Dilley, Gabe (fiancé Delaney Deterding) Dilley, Declan Beatty, Brenna Beatty, Avery Dilley, Ava Otto and Jackson Otto; three great grandchildren: Emily Cady, Evangelee Cady and Anya Lorenzen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Time of Service: Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 4:00 pm

Visitation: Saturday 11:00 am until service time at the church


For those who wish not to travel to Superior a Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, April 19th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the United Church of Christ in Syracuse, Nebraska
