Christian Biography of William Joe "Bud" Morehead Jr.

William "Bud" Morehead, the son of Bill Morehead Sr. and Eilene (Klingenberger) Morehead was born August 18, 1947 in Superior, Nebraska.  Bud passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Southlake Village in Lincoln at the age of 70 years, 4 months and 3 days.  Bud was a graduate of Nelson High School. He enjoyed deer hunting, horseback riding, fishing, classic cars, sport shooting and trivia.  He loved the country life and was proud to be a redneck.   He was very proud of his daughter Vicki and enjoyed spending time with her.  Bud never met a stranger and will always be remembered for his kind and compassionate ways towards others.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Eilene Morehead.  Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Vicki Morehead of Lincoln; and sister, Trudy Henderson and her husband John Henderson III of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Nelson Community United Church of Christ in Nelson with Pastor Ivan and Pastor Joyce Dean officiating.  Interment will follow at Nelson Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 4 until 8 PM at Klawitter – Price Funeral Home in Nelson.

There will also be a Celebration of Life Service for Bud on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Southlake Village (9400 Andermatt Drive) in Lincoln.  Memorials have been suggested to the family for future designation.
